circle of life
‘circle of life’는 달이 해를 가리는 개기일식에서 모티브를 얻었다. 빛과 어둠은 반대의 개념으로 이해되고 있지만 개기일식이 일어날 때는 동일선상에 위치하게 됨으로써 마치 두개의 다른 성질이 동시에 존재하는 듯하다. 달의 그림자가 조금씩 이동하여 해를 덮어갈 때 빛은 서서히 줄어들어 어둠으로 바뀌고 완전히 덮고 나서는 다시 어둠이 비켜가 빛이 보이기 시작하는데 그 광경의 경이로움과 아름다움을 소반에 담고자 하였다.

'circle of life’ obtains its motif from a total solar eclipse, when the moon blocked the sun. Light and darkness are understood as the opposite, but when a total solar eclipse occurs, they are located on the same line, making it almost as if there are two different properties simultaneously. When the moon’s shadow moved little by little and covered the sun, the light slowly faded into darkness, and when it was completely hid, the darkness made way and be able to see light, so we would like to describe the wonders and beauty of the scene in a small portable dining table.
